Welcome to my blog! My name is Jack, I am 24 years old and I love learning and experiencing new ideas. I am a hard working, determined person and yet consider myself to be very easy going and fun to be around. I am always open to new ideas, and consider my knowledge based around my experiences. I love being outside and exploring what our world has to offer us.
I have a heavy background with outdoor sports, travelling the globe, and diversifying my life between hard work and good times. I have work experience in customer service, construction, and most recently being in charge of a landscaping crew for four summers in Kamloops, BC. I have logged two winters (2012/13, 2013/14) in Alberta working in the oil patch running steam boilers.
Educationally, I have an Adventure Sport Certificate, 2.5 years towards a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in Geography, and I am currently working on my GIS Diploma at Selkirk College, graduating in 2015, with a plan to obtain my Bachelors Degree from here. I have never been afraid of hard work, and am always up for a challenge. GIS is both of those, but I am very excited to be learning so many different new skills and ideas. Using data geospatially is turning into more than a skill and knowledge for me, but a hobby.
I try to get out skiing as much as I can, but I seem to be attracted to sunny beaches on the other side. Spending time with my family and friends is important to me and I value the relationships we gain throughout our lives. Thanks for reading, Welcome to my Blog!
